After the incredible sell out of the “New Kids on the Block” boot camp Rainy city has decided to run another one for newer skaters
The Rainy City Roller Girls are pleased to host a training day for NEWBIES and NEWBIES+ .
Taking place on Sunday 3rd April, we have assembled an amazing coaching line up to help you improve your skills and as a part of your ticket price you get to watch the northern area Team England world cup try outs held right after the camp finishes

Top Coaches will be passing on skills, drills and thrills
Group 1 Newbies
You need to already have basic skating skills, starting, skating, turning and stopping.
Our ultra patient coaches will be pouring derby skills into you:
- Falling
- Blocking
- Stance
- Turns
- Agility
- Speed
All to move you faster towards passing your minimum skills test.
4 Hours of on-skate sessions throughout the day.
Group 2 Newbie PLUS
Skaters who are close to passing their minimum skills test and would like to get additional help to get them over the line.
Our top flight coaches will show you how to:
- Move faster
- Increase your Agility
- Cover more of the track
- Be a better jammer, blocker or pivot
- Pass your minimums
4 hours on skates to take you to the next roller derby level,
